The Cell Antenna is a passive device designed to capture stray radiation in the body of the phone and to re-radiate the signal to improve the phone's performance. The Antenna will work most efficiently when installed properly.
CELL ANTENNA INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

remove the battery from your phone
-
wipe the battery compartment with a clean, dry cloth to remove any oils from fingerprints or dirt
-
remove the yellow backing sheet from the internal antenna, being very careful not to touch the sticky area with your fingers. This could leave oils and residues from your fingers on this area and possibly decrease the antenna's effectiveness. Additionally, be sure not to touch any of the internal components or circuit boards
-
press the internal antenna onto the body of the phone in the same direction as the existing antenna (if possible)
You should notice at least ONE (1) bar more than before. Keep in mind that in a NEAR ZERO signal strength area (less than one continuous signal antenna strength bar), results will be minimal. In areas where cell signals are non-existent, the booster will have no effect (but neither would a 10-foot antenna!).
